When 8 KM Felt Harder Than a Half Marathon

Today’s 8 km run was honestly one of the toughest runs for me. The weather was extremely hot with around 89% humidity, which made every kilometer feel much harder than usual.

I have already completed a half marathon (21.1 km) and four 10 km runs, but surprisingly this 8 km felt tougher than many of those runs because of the challenging weather conditions.

To make things more difficult, I was not feeling completely fit for the last 2–3 days, so my energy level was already low before the run started. Because of that, I struggled a lot during the race and there were moments when I felt it would be very hard to finish.

A special thanks to Red Bull and Fast&Up for the energy support during the run — it really helped in such tough weather.

I am also very thankful to my friend who kept pushing and motivating me whenever I slowed down. Honestly, without that support I don’t think I would have been able to complete the run. The co-runners and the cheering gang along the route were also amazing — their encouragement kept me moving forward.

With everyone’s motivation and support, I finally completed the run successfully. Running in such humid weather was definitely a new and challenging experience, but in the end I truly enjoyed the run.
