Start with the organiser application: tell us about your organisation, typical events, and contact details. Our team reviews applications to keep listings trustworthy for runners.

Once approved, you can access the organiser dashboard to create events, set up ticket categories, monitor registrations, and use tools such as bib allocation. Approval timelines can vary; we may ask for clarifications or additional details.

• Apply to become an organiser:

Yes. Many community runs, school or club 5Ks, and charity events start with a small field and affordable entry. Runners do not pay a separate MarathonMitra platform fee — they pay the ticket you set (even very low amounts), plus normal payment and messaging pass-throughs on the transaction.

For up to 100 paid registrations, MarathonMitra uses a micro-tier path: a flat listing fee and no per-registration MarathonMitra platform fee in that band. When you grow past 100 paid registrations, per-registration platform tiers apply on top of the listing fee — see the public pricing page and calculator to model your scenario.

Whether you are in Patna, Jaipur, a metro, or a smaller town, the same rules apply; your event can still be discovered by runners nationwide.

You can list road races, trail runs, charity runs, corporate runs, multi-distance events (e.g. 5K, 10K, half and full marathon on the same day), and other timed or untimed running formats, subject to our content and compliance guidelines.

Events should be genuine, legal, and clearly described (dates, venue, distances, refund policy where applicable). If you are unsure whether your format fits, contact us with a short outline.

Yes. MarathonMitra is built for organisers across India — metros (e.g. Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru), emerging running hubs (e.g. Patna, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati), tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and smaller towns. The same transparent pricing and tools apply; your event is discoverable nationwide on the platform.

Runners do not pay a separate MarathonMitra “platform fee” on top of your ticket. They pay the ticket price you set, plus standard payment processing and optional messaging-related charges that apply on the transaction.

Organisers pay MarathonMitra platform fees according to the published tier model: a micro-event listing path for smaller fields, and per-registration platform rates for larger events, plus applicable GST on those platform fees only.

GST at 18% applies to MarathonMitra’s platform fees (listing and per-registration platform fee), not to the entire ticket amount as a “MarathonMitra GST on the full ticket.”

Payment gateway fees and typical Email/WhatsApp-style communication charges are usually calculated on gross collection and treated as pass-through costs in your payout model — use the pricing calculator to approximate their impact alongside platform fees.

For up to 100 paid registrations (micro tier), organisers pay a ₹499 flat listing fee and no per-registration MarathonMitra platform fee for that band.

Above 100 registrations, the listing fee still applies, and you also pay a per-registration platform rate that depends on your total paid registration band (e.g. higher bands have higher per-runner platform rates up to the published maximum).

Your tier is driven by total registrations for the event, not per category. If you sell multiple distances, all paid registrations typically count toward the same tier.

Figures are estimates; final settlement may depend on actual sales, chargebacks, refunds, and timing of payouts as per your agreement and dashboard.

Payout schedules depend on your organiser agreement, event status, and reconciliation of registrations and refunds. MarathonMitra aims for predictable B2B settlement cycles (often described as a number of business days after a defined cut-off).

Yes. You can structure multiple ticket categories or distances. For pricing estimates, the category-wise mode in the payout calculator lets you enter each category’s price and registration count; the platform tier still follows total paid registrations across all categories.

Organisers typically manage registrations through the MarathonMitra organiser tools: live counts, participant lists, and bib allocation workflows designed for race-day operations.

Exact features available to your account may depend on your plan and event setup. During onboarding, we walk you through the steps that match your event size and format.

Refund and cancellation policies are set by you as the organiser and must be communicated clearly to participants (e.g. on the event page and at checkout where applicable). MarathonMitra provides the infrastructure to operate registrations; legal and customer-facing policy for refunds remains with the organiser unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Operational handling of refunds may be subject to gateway rules, cut-off dates, and platform processes. For edge cases (postponements, force majeure), contact support early so we can align on runner communication and ledger treatment.

We may request organiser or entity verification (e.g. identity, bank details for payouts, event legitimacy) to reduce fraud and protect runners. Requirements vary by risk, event type, and volume.

You should also ensure you have rights to use branding, routes, and charity claims you publish. We do not provide legal advice; consult your counsel for permits, police permissions, and insurance.

Response times are typically within one to two business days for non-urgent requests; critical production issues are prioritised when flagged appropriately.
