My running journey began back in 2017 when I randomly decided to participate in the IEM UEM Kolkata Marathon. At that time, I had no idea that this small step would become such a meaningful part of my life. After that phase, there was a long gap in between. Life got busy, priorities changed, and running slowly took a backseat.
But somewhere deep inside, the runner in me was still alive.
In August 2025, I decided to start again — slowly and steadily. I began with 5 km, then 6 km, and gradually pushed myself to 10 km. It wasn’t just about distance; it was about rebuilding discipline, stamina, and self-belief.
And then came 22nd February 2026 — once again at the same marathon. It felt like life had come full circle. Running on the same route where I had once started made the experience even more special. Everything about the event was beautifully organized — from hydration points to route management, there was no shortage of arrangements. The route felt familiar, yet this time I was stronger, more focused, and more determined.
This year is not just about one for me. 2026 is about completing my full journey — pushing towards longer distances, breaking my own limits, and proving to myself that consistency always wins.
Because sometimes, it’s not about how you start…
It’s about how you come back. 🏃♀️✨
