From Running Away to Running Towards Myself
There was a time in my life when running meant escaping.
I ran from home, from school, from university, from relationships, from jobs, from problems—basically from everything that felt overwhelming. Running wasn’t a passion back then; it was a way to avoid facing reality.
A few months ago, everything changed.
I was introduced to the world of marathons—something completely new and unfamiliar. With no proper training and little understanding, I took my first step and ran 10 kilometers. Then came 21 kilometers. And then more. Each run pushed me beyond limits I didn’t even know I had.
Recently, I completed my fourth half marathon(Nambor Marathon, Golaghat, ASSAM).
This time, it felt different, stronger, better not just physically, but mentally. I wasn’t running away anymore—I was running with a purpose.
Today, I run for myself for my mental health for clarity and growth.
Running has transformed my lifestyle and mindset. It has taught me discipline, resilience, and the power of showing up even when it’s hard. And the moment you earn that medal after crossing the finish line—it makes every drop of sweat, every struggle, completely worth it.
This journey is far from over.
I will keep running.
Keep learning.
Keep training.
Keep exploring.
And one day, I will cross that finish line as the first finisher.
Until then—keep fighting, keep grinding, one step at a time. 👊🏻
