Located in the breathtaking yet punishing landscapes of Manali, Himachal Pradesh, the Solang SkyUltra is where elite athletes and passionate trail runners gather to challenge their physical and mental limits.

Race Categories and Course Breakdown
Participants can choose from four distinct high-altitude trail categories, each offering a unique progression of distance, elevation gain, and difficulty.
Mt. Patalsu Challenge – 14 KM
An intense, short-distance mountain challenge that reaches an altitude of 4,200 meters, making it one of the steepest ITRA 1-point courses.

•Cut-Off Time: 6 Hours
SSU 30 KM – The Fast & The Frustrated
A demanding route taking runners through landmarks like Anjani Mahadev, Naulli Nallah, and Lady Leg above Beas Kund.

•Elevation Gain: 2110 m D+
•ITRA Points: 2 Points
•Cut-Off Time: 7 Hours
SSU 60 KM – More Miles, More Mayhem
Twice the distance of the 30K category, featuring technical sections and tight interim checkpoints.

•Elevation Gain: 4210 m D+
•ITRA Points: 3 Points
•Cut-Off Time: 15 Hours
Interim Checkpoints: 21 KM in 5:30h (Kothi Base), 32 KM in 8:30h (Solang Bridge), and 40 KM in 10:30h (Palchani Naala).
SSU 100 KM – The Legend-Maker
The ultimate Himalayan ultra-marathon experience. The course features extreme altitude shifts and iconic landmarks, including the Death Climb, Bhrigu Lake, Burwa, Vashisht, and Lady Leg.

•Elevation Gain: 7350 m D+
•ITRA Points: 5 Points
•Cut-Off Time: 32 Hours
Interim Checkpoints: 27.45 KM in 6:00 hrs, 51.1 KM in 15:00 hrs, and 79.73 KM in 27:00 hrs.
Runner Eligibility & Guidelines
•Age Limit: All participants must be 18 years or older by September 30, 2026. Minor participation requires verified parental consent and proven athletic capability.
•Mandatory Gear: Competitors must carry full mandatory safety gear to clear the BIB collection process. The event operates under strict no-gear, no-bib safety enforcement.
•Experience: Prior experience in ultra-running or high-altitude trekking is highly recommended, particularly for the 60K and 100K ultra distances.
