Event Schedule and Race-Day Flow
The flagship event kicks off with the IIT Alumni Run 2026 in Bengaluru. It offers three distinct race categories tailored for everyone—from competitive runners chasing a personal best to families enjoying a morning walk.
Race Categories
•10K (Competitive): The flagship, chip-timed distance with a podium finish for top age-group contenders.
•5K (Popular): A crowd-favourite, chip-timed loop that you can run hard or cruise through.
•2.2K Fun Walk: A relaxed, un-timed category perfect for families and catching up with batchmates.
Race-Day Timeline (Sunday, June 28, 2026)
5:00 AM – Gates Open: Bib collection and runner warm-up at Kanteerava Stadium.
5:30 AM – 10K Flag-off: The competitive, chip-timed wave begins.
6:00 AM – 5K Flag-off: The open, chip-timed wave begins.
6:30 AM – 2.2K Walk Flag-off: Family and batch walks commence.
8:00 AM – Breakfast & Campus Awards: Post-race refuel, podium distributions, and campus leaderboard celebrations.
The Route Course
The event features a fast, flat loop through the scenic heart of Bengaluru:
•Start Line: Kanteerava Stadium
•2.5K Mark: Cubbon Park
•5K Mark: MG Road
•7.5K Mark: Vidhana Soudha
•Finish Line: Kanteerava Stadium
